Erin and Pip from migreenkitchen

While studying Science and Nutrition, Erin and Pip embarked on an exciting entrepreneurial journey by founding Migreenkitchen, a pioneering microgreen food business utilising the tiny nutrient powerhouses' microgreens. Their vision stemmed from recognising an untapped opportunity in the market: while microgreens were gaining popularity for their sustainability and nutritional benefits, they were not being fully utilised in food products. Now, in their final year of studies they plan to bring their first product to the market!

A journey driven by a fusion of passions: Pip's profound love for plants and Erin's commitment to sustainability. The innovative concept of incorporating microgreens into food products resonated deeply with them, and begun their journey in microgreen growing trials, endless hours of research and recipe development.

At present, Erin and Pip’s focus is on scaling up production of our nutrient-rich microgreens. Securing their first business space was a pivotal milestone, allowing them to invest in top-quality equipment and refine the production processes. Collaborating with industry experts, they are pioneering a reusable hydroponic growing method, prioritising cost efficiency and resource sustainability.

‘The financial support provided by Spark has been instrumental in our journey, enabling us to invest in quality equipment for product growth, providing high-quality ingredients for our products. Looking ahead, their vision for Migreenkitchen is ambitious. Erin and Pip envision expanding their product line to offer a diverse range of microgreen-infused products , catering to the growing demand for sustainable, nutrient-rich food options.
